SB 1235 Bill Signed Into Law as of October 1, 2018

Working Solutions and several key members of CAMEO, our state trade association, supported the passage of the first small business truth-in-lending law in the country. Working Solutions is very proud of our capacity to support such important industry standards.

Louis Caditz-Peck, who is Lending Club's Director of Public Policy, a new CAMEO board member, and a friend of Working Solutions, was a huge proponent and had this to say to the coalition:

“It’s hard to believe that it’s just been three years from coming together to elevate this issue by launching the Small Business Borrowers’ Bill of Rights, to inspiring and then passing legislation based on the principles we set out. I’m marveling at how powerful cross-sector coalitions can be. Passing this bill would have been impossible without this team effort, bringing together so many incredible people and organizations, working to do right by small businesses and make our financial system more fair, just, and supportive of entrepreneurs pursuing their dreams.”
