Working Solutions Non-Discrimination Policy

As a recipient of federal financial assistance, Working Solutions CDFI ensures both staff and clients are protected from various forms of discrimination and abides by the following federal statutes including:

  • Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 (Title VI), 42 U.S.C. §§ 2000d –2000d7 – prohibits discrimination based on race, color, or national origin 

  • Age Discrimination Act of 1975, 42 U.S.C. §6101-6107 et seq. – prohibits discrimination based on age

  • Title IX of the Education Amendments Act of 1972, 20 U.S.C. §§1681- 1688 – prohibits discrimination based on sex in educational programs 

  • Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, 29 U.S.C. §794 – prohibits discrimination based on disability 

  • Fair Housing Act, Title VIII of the Civil Rights Act of 1968. 42 U.S.C. §§ 3601 et seq. – prohibits discrimination based on race, color, national origin, religion, sex, familial status (having one or more children under 18) and disability.

In practice, this means that Working Solutions CDFI provides programming and services to clients in a manner that does not limit participation or deny access on the basis of one or more of these factors.  Additionally, for clients with limited English proficiency, Working Solutions CDFI takes proactive steps to provide reasonable translation resources to clients accessing or attempting to access its programming and services.

How to file a Complaint of Discrimination

In accordance with federal law and U.S. Department of the Treasury policy, Working Solutions CDFI is prohibited from discriminating based on race, color, national origin, sex, age, or disability. If you believe you or someone les has been subjected to discrimination and/or reprisal because of membership within a protected group, you may submit a complaint of discrimination in one of four ways:
