Working Solutions: Ahead of the Curve on Real Estate Support
A recent trending conversation on KQED’s The Forum radio program highlighted the issue of displacement in San Francisco. The program discusses SF Mayor London Breed’s first policy proposal to address the issue of empty storefronts – the first for a city, and a model for other Bay Area cities.
Working Solutions has been at the forefront of this issue since 2015 with an initial grant from Citi Community Development, and later through our ongoing partnership with the City of San Francisco's Office of Economic and Workforce Development (OEWD) as a contractor providing real estate consulting services to small local businesses who would not otherwise have access to real estate broker support.
As an example of this work, Working Solutions helped Thanh Thanh Cafe on Clement Street in San Francisco sign a new lease and keep the business in its existing location.
