Fall 2024 Industry Events Roundup

This fall, members of the Working Solutions team attended and presented at industry events throughout California and beyond. Highlights include:

  • CFO Gasper Magallanes and CEO Sara Razavi attended CAMEO Network's 30th Anniversary Celebration in San Diego and presented about our participation in the inaugural cohort of CAMEO’s CDFI Shared Services Center.

  • Chief Program Officer Titi Ikhile was part of a panel discussion on "Building Community Power Through Entrepreneurship" during the Startup Champions Network Bay Area Summit, alongside fellow CDFI leaders from Inclusive Action for the City, Pacific Community Ventures, ESO Ventures, and moderated by Wesley Alexander of CoBiz Richmond.

  • Chief Development Officer (CDO) Laura Hoover attended the High Road Roundtable Funders Briefing in San Jose in October to hear about regional priorities and a collaborative approach to promote equity, good jobs, and climate resiliency in the Peninsula-South Bay.

  • Business Development Officer Cecy Toro and Business Consulting Officer Crystal Rasmussen attended the Hispanic Foundation of Silicon Valley's 35th Annual Ball with Bank of America to celebrate collective impact in Hispanic-Latino communities in the South Bay.

  • Community Development Manager Anita Russell served as Master of Ceremonies for Renaissance Entrepreneurship Center's Passion to Profit conference in Hayward, which featured an inspiring keynote from Will Jackson, U.S. Bank Business Access Advisor and Working Solutions Board Member.

  • Team members attended two U.S. Bank Impact Finance Equity Summits in St. Louis and San Diego. CDO Laura Hoover, CFO Gasper Magallanes, Grants Officer Sabrina Adams, Senior Portfolio Officer Jhoana Rose Juen, and Business Consulting Officer Crystal Rasmussen reflected on ways to advance racial justice in our organizations and our work.
