Message to Our Community: COVID-19 Response

Dear Working Solutions Community,

What a month. As we all continue to navigate the COVID-19 crisis together, I want to let you know how Working Solutions is responding and supporting our small business community.

We continue to ensure that our staff team is safe, supported, and has the resources they need to do their jobs. Our entire team has been working remotely since March 9, and we are fortunate to have the technology, systems, and team structure in place to make this effective and functional.

We are committed to utilizing all of the tools at our disposal to support our small business community. We have developed a COVID-19 response strategy which is focused on immediate, near-term, and long-term support for local, small businesses:

  • In the immediate term, we continue to support our loan clients with payment deferments, and also advising on any resources they can access to support their liquidity. For both our clients and the broader small business community, we are maintaining an up-to-date online resource guide

  • In the near term, we are working to administer grant capital and/or refer to existing grant funds that can be deployed to small businesses to cover short-term expenses and to stabilize the disruption experienced from shelter-in-place ordinances. We are also referring to loan products available through the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) such as PPP and EIDL.

  • In the longer term, we are looking ahead to what the future holds for small businesses as we rebuild and recover.  We have started administering our own Recovery Product of lower-cost debt (half of our usual terms) so that we can respond to the 500% increase in demand that we are seeing for our services. Our aim is to work with our clients and our partners for sustained support to small businesses.

Please stay safe, and please reach out if you have any thoughts or suggestions for how Working Solutions can best support our community during this unprecedented crisis.

With gratitude,
Sara Razavi
