Update to Our Community: One Year Into the COVID-19 Pandemic

Dear Working Solutions Community,

I hope this message finds you safe and well.

As of today, it has been one full year since the Working Solutions team started working remotely as a precautionary response to the growing spread of COVID-19. One week later, the first shelter-in-place orders went into effect across the San Francisco Bay Area, and all of our daily lives were dramatically changed.

In the face of this ongoing pandemic, I am proud of how Working Solutions has been able to pivot during the crisis and remain a steadfast supporter of Bay Area small businesses. From serving as a grants administrator to launching our own recovery loan product—including new lending capital for businesses owned by women of color in Oakland and a new small business revolving loan fund serving San Francisco’s District 10—we remain committed to providing affordable capital and customized consulting to help small businesses survive and ultimately thrive.

We are grateful to our supporters for helping us serve as a financial first responder to small businesses during this time of economic hardship and social transformation, and we look ahead with hope for recovery in the months ahead.
