Small Business, Big Impact: Announcing Our FY23 Results

Working Solutions is celebrating another record-setting year!

In FY23, Working Solutions disbursed $6.9 million in small-dollar loans and grants to 223 small businesses and provided over 12,215 hours of free education and consulting assistance to 4,500 entrepreneurs in Northern California. 97¢ of every dollar deployed in FY23 went to businesses owned by people of color, women, and/or low-income individuals.

Working Solutions is the First to Believe in Small Business and we are deeply committed not just to scale, but to scale with deep impact in the communities that we serve. We have surpassed $48 million in all-time deployment of loans and grants serving the smallest businesses, and we continue to deploy the majority of our capital to entrepreneurs who have historically been excluded from access to capital: in FY23, 78% of capital went to entrepreneurs of color, 60% to women entrepreneurs, and 62% to low-income entrepreneurs, and 80% of our loans were microloans averaging less than $24,000.
